MXL TV is one of the simpler Android players for loading an M3U playlist and watching live channels on a phone or a TV box. If you came here hunting the mxl tv download apk file, here is how I got it running and what tripped me up along the way.
The app is not listed on Google Play. The current build sits on the project site, and you sideload it after flipping on install-permissions for unknown apps for your browser inside Android security settings. On stock Android it installs cleanly on everything I tried, from an old Moto G up to a Shield TV. On a Fire Stick you need the Downloader helper to drop the apk, since Amazon blocks direct installs from a browser session.
After it opens, the only field you touch is the playlist URL. Paste your M3U line, save, and the channel list builds itself in a few seconds. Video-on-demand folders appear the same way if your provider ships them. The built-in player handles most streams, though for HEVC or 4K sources it hands playback off to VLC if you have that installed alongside it.
Half the apk mirrors floating around actually serve expired demo playlists, so I keep a short list of the ones I have loaded and watched all the way through.
